Ranse Jones PRO-AM Classic - Beach Volleyball Fundraiser Tournament - Nov. 6th and 7th 2010
Ranse, a Flagler County firefighter-paramedic, had been in a coma since May 8th 2010 after suffering an aneurysm during a semi-final beach volleyball match in Panama City. This tournament was created to help provide support to Ranse and his family in dealing with his mounting medical bills. He passed away early Monday morning, Nov 8th, the day after this tournament had ended and six months to the day of his aneurysm.

I did not personally know Ranse or his wife Barbara but it was very moving to see how well the volleyball community came together to help support Ranse and his family.
